Why would this film find it hard to get finance from a production company?

One of the reasons kidulthood not getting financed from a production company, because the producer of this is isn't known that well to any company's so they don't no anything about him, how his films have gone before and what he is like his self, so this will stop company's putting there money in just case they lose it. Another reason for them not getting financed is because the production company's haven't got the money there self to give to first time film producers like 'Stealth' as i said before there not well known and they haven't got any good relationships with anyone like other film producers.

Promotion will be hard as well because of the unknown actors they are using and people don't know them so they wouldn't want to go a watch it, because they are unknown. Also if you have got actors that no one knows, people will be thinking that because the promoter hasn't used the general known actors that there film isn't going to be good so they will hesitate in promoting the film.

Another reason why they might not promote the film is because of the genera of it, because it isn't your general Hollywood film that has all singing and dancing actors lighting and music things like that, but because the genera is scocial relism it might not be as popula as the normaly Hollywood film.

The importance of convergence to the film industry?

Convergence is important to the film industry because it brings two companies together working, this is good because it will make the film become better because they are bringing there knowledge to make the film better. Convergence is also important because t helps the film viewer consume the film in different viewing experience like 300 (2006) & Sin City (2005) these are in a video game viewing experience.

How might convergence affect the way audiences ‘consume’ films?

Convergence might affect the way audience view films, because it started coming out on the video player, then it went to be coming out in DvD mode, this also meant that people could come across and buy box sets with all there favorite DvD in it. After Dvd took off they thought they would make it completely different for the viewer to watch/ consume the film this is when the Blue ray Dvd come out the difference between the normally dvd and the blue ray one is that they picture is more clear and it gives the viewer a better viewing experience, know this is making me thing what can they do next? I have heard something about 3D on your tv screens at home, this will probably be the best way that you will be viewing a film at home in the comfort of your front room for a little while.

The Film Process.

Production - Film production is were the producer of the film gets all his ideas down and begins to start making the film itself, and the producer is the one that comes up with the ideas and makes all the decisions about the film.

Distribution – The Distribution company, have all the legal ownership of the advertising of this film and how it comes out – this means like blue ray DVD, normal DVD, video games, posters and also it will be up to them if there bringing it out in 3D or something like that. How many people get to no about the film.

Exhibition – Sending out prints, showing film in cinemas, premieres, critics and showing previews and screenings.

That is just a link of the one of the trailer that I watch, I thought this was good because they was it was filmed and all the animation instead of normal filming. It comes out on the 31^st march 2010.

007 Convergence..

In class we was looking at the meaning of convergence and why people do it, my view on convergence is that It basically makes the company of 007 make more money and it is more publicity is with them because there is more people buying it. Looking on the 007 website there is many ways that you can view the film:- Blue-ray DVD, DVD and you can also download parts of the film from the website. This is normally unusual because this means that there not making money out of it they are letting them have it for free, but however they might be thinking that they are already making enough money with the other way of selling the product.

Other then DVD they also do the game for most consuls and they will also do things like posters this is all ways of making money, but also it is still promoting there product. Aslo looking over there web site your also able to put something on facebook witch is also promotion for that company.

I think that it is good that all company’s give you free ways to watch and have a look and there product but I also think that this is because they are making so much more money over the DVD and the Blue Ray, they will also be making a lot of money off the games as well because they have bought out so many, when a new one comes out it is normally better then the before so your able to sell it because more people will be playing the game and that goes back to publicity as well..
